Kids Culinary Summer Camp - Ages 7-12

Service Description

Your child will enjoy a hands-on, interactive week as they learn to cook with Launa Tierney, aka The Pasta Lady. There are 3 camp sessions available, Monday– Friday, 9am – 1 pm, which will be hosted at the community center inside the HENDERSONVILLE COMMUNITY CO OP off Spartanburg Hwy. Being at the co op allows us to focus on using local and fresh ingredients. These cooking classes are hands-on with indoor and outdoor activities. We do request that your child has some experience cooking with a parent in the kitchen before signing up. Each session of our Kids Culinary Camp will have room for 12 chefs. There will be camp counselors to greet you and assist the chefs each day. Each child will receive an apron, and they will also make a recipe journal, herb garden and other surprises to take home. Launa has thoughtfully planned a full culinary curriculum. They should not be bored or hungry!! Each day the kids will be cooking up to 3 recipes as an individual or in a team. We do ask that every child bring a Tupperware type container each day for items they will be taking home. We encourage recycling. Each session is $489, which includes everything above (including a daily snack). It’s best to sign-up early as camp space is limited and will sell out. Tickets are non-refundable after April 30, 2023. Please do not sign up for multiple camps as a placeholder. Notes: Camp is free of all nuts and sesame products (although some ingredients may be processed in a facility that processes these products). We are going to focus on using organic, whole and mostly local ingredients when possible but not always! We make substitutions and accommodations anytime possible. Although we cannot provide a substitute for all items that include egg, dairy and/or gluten, there will certainly be something your camper will be able to enjoy each day. **Please list all allergen information when signing up. The camps are for kids age 7 - 12.
